Bills Allow Chiefs to Trade Up, Select Anthony Richardson

Kansas City Moves Up for Richardson

Buffalo Sends 30th Pick to Chiefs in Exchange for 29th and 2025 Sixth Round Pick

The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs made a surprising trade at the end of the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The Bills traded the 30th overall pick to the Chiefs, who sent the 29th overall pick and a 2025 sixth-round pick in return.

With the trade, the Chiefs selected Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson. Richardson is a 6'4", 244-pound quarterback who is considered to be one of the best prospects at his position in the draft. He is a dual-threat quarterback who can beat teams with his arm and his legs.

The Chiefs are coming off a Super Bowl victory and are looking to cement themselves as one of the greatest teams in NFL history. They have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, but they were looking for a quarterback who could take them to the next level.

Richardson is a player who has the potential to be a franchise quarterback. He has all the tools to be successful in the NFL, and he is a player who could help the Chiefs continue to compete for championships.
